Temperate woodland is found in many areas of the world, from the oak woodlands of Europe to the eucalyptus forests of southern Australia.
Many species of birds, mammals and other animals are adapted to live in these tranquil areas. With moderate rainfall and mild winters, these animals do not have to cope with the rigors of life in harsher climates.
